Study Guide and Test Tips for OCR Unit 2 Testing
Oral Fluency Exam:
The best way to prepare for this test is to practice
1-minute timed tests of your oral reading. You should use passages from your
Anthology and have someone time you with a digital timer. Here is how your
reading speed is determined:
- All the words that you have read in 1 minute are
counted.
- Each word you misread is counted as a mistake.
- Each word you add (that isn’t there) counts as a
mistake.
- Each word you leave out counts as a mistake.
- All the mistakes are subtracted from your 1-minute word
count. The difference will be your reading speed.
